Franny and Zooey – J.D. Salinger

The other novel from the writer of Catcher in the Rye, and it shares a lot with its famed predecessor. The social milieu is that of the educated wealthy, and there is a concern with sibling relationships, albeit without the heart-wrenching pathos of Holden Caulfield. It’s still mighty fine, though.
